Personal Experience

Sydney Williams is an Associate Attorney at The Williams Firm, P.C. Her practice focuses on four areas: trust and estate planning, uncontested probate and estate administration, real property and title matters, and business and nonprofit formation and transactions. She prepares estate plans and trusts that help clients pass on what they have built with confidence. She also guides families through the administration of a loved one’s estate and resolves title issues so clients can protect both their land and their legacy. For businesses and nonprofits, she advises on formation, mergers, and governance, including counsel to boards of directors and shareholders.

Attorney Williams was born and raised in Spring, Texas. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Politics and International Relations from Fairfield University, where she played Division I volleyball. Along the way, she worked in a congressional office, with humanitarian nonprofits at home and abroad. She first gained professional legal experience interning for an international arbitration law firm in Beijing, and a family immigration law firm in Connecticut. She then spent two years as a paralegal for a national corporate immigration firm, supporting Fortune 500 and other major multinational companies. Sydney earned her Juris Doctor, with a Certificate in Sports Law, from Tulane University Law School. During law school, she completed a judicial externship with the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana, clerked for a prominent full-service law firm, externed for the New Orleans Saints and Pelicans, and earned a certificate in negotiation and mediation advocacy from Humboldt University in Berlin. She also served as President of Tulane’s Black Law Students Association and as a Board Member of Tulane’s Women in Sports Law chapter.

Attorney Williams has helped build the firm from the inside, working in nearly every role throughout school before returning as an Associate after being licensed to practice law in Texas and, most recently, Illinois. Today, alongside her law practice, she plays a leading role in the firm’s operations, staff development, and marketing strategy. That work gives her an entrepreneurial spirit and a business owner’s perspective that she brings to every client she advises because she knows firsthand what it takes to build, run, and grow an organization.

Outside the office, Attorney Williams enjoys cooking Creole cuisine, baking, attending live sporting events, art galleries, traveling, and making time for fitness and holistic wellness.
